AI Usage Policy

1. Purpose

Our aim is to use AI as a supporting technology that can improve efficiency, organisation, discovery, communication and platform safety while preserving appropriate human involvement in important professional decisions.

This Policy describes our general approach. Specific AI-assisted features may evolve as the Cast Talents platform develops.

2. Our AI Principles

Our approach to AI is guided by the following principles:

• Human oversight: AI should support people rather than unnecessarily replace professional judgment.

• Media or profile verification assistance.

4. AI in Casting, Search & Talent Matching

AI-assisted tools may help organise or identify Talent profiles that appear relevant to particular casting criteria, such as professional categories, skills, languages, experience or other project requirements.

An AI-generated match or recommendation is an assistance tool. It does not guarantee that a Talent is suitable, available, shortlisted, selected or booked.

Clients, productions, casting teams and authorised people remain responsible for their final professional and casting decisions.

5. Verification, Security & Safety

Cast Talents may use automated or AI-assisted technology to help review profile information, media, identity signals, account activity or other information relevant to verification and platform safety.

Such systems may generate scores, similarities, recommendations, warnings or flags for further review.

Where appropriate, Cast Talents may require additional information or human review before approving verification or taking significant account action.

6. AI-Assisted Communications

Cast Talents may use AI-assisted tools or virtual assistants to help respond to common questions, provide registration guidance, explain platform features, organise enquiries or support other routine communications.

Automated responses may not always understand context perfectly. Users should request human assistance where an issue is sensitive, complex, contractual, payment-related or requires individual professional judgment.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may indicate that a communication or interaction is automated or AI-assisted.

7. Human Oversight

AI may assist our team by processing or organising information, but we recognise that automated systems can make mistakes and may not understand every relevant circumstance.

Where appropriate, authorised Cast Talents personnel may review, correct, reject or override AI-assisted recommendations, classifications, verification results, moderation flags or other automated outputs.

Users may contact us if they believe an important AI-assisted result relating to their account or profile is materially inaccurate and requires review.

8. Fairness, Inclusion & Responsible Use

Casting projects can legitimately require specific characteristics relevant to a creative role or production brief. At the same time, Cast Talents does not intend AI-assisted systems to be used to facilitate unlawful discrimination.

We may review AI-assisted matching, verification or moderation processes where there is a reasonable concern that a system is producing materially inappropriate or unfair outcomes.

No automated system can guarantee the complete elimination of bias. Responsible use therefore requires continuing review, appropriate human judgment and consideration of context.

9. Privacy, Personal Data & Media

AI-assisted functions may process information relevant to their intended purpose, including account information, Talent profile details, casting requirements, portfolio media, categories, skills, languages or Website interactions.

Personal information used in connection with AI-assisted features remains subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.

We aim to limit access to information to what is reasonably relevant for the service, operational, security or verification purpose involved.

The use of AI does not by itself transfer ownership of original content uploaded by a user to Cast Talents.

10. AI Limitations

AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unexpected results. Performance may also vary depending on the quality, completeness and context of the information available to the system.

For this reason, AI-assisted outputs should not be treated as a guarantee of identity, suitability, professional ability, availability, casting success, booking or employment.

Users remain responsible for reviewing important information and using appropriate judgment before acting upon an AI-assisted result.

11. Review & Continuous Improvement

As AI technology and our services develop, we may review and improve our AI-assisted processes, including their accuracy, security, relevance, user experience and appropriate human oversight.

We may modify, replace, restrict or discontinue AI-assisted features where appropriate.

This Policy may also be updated to reflect significant changes to our technology, practices or applicable requirements. The current version will display its latest revision date.
